Who We Are?

Britney credits a lifelong love affair with events to early teachings with mom. Early on, the importance of aesthetics was emphasized. Holidays were special occasions for her mother and by virtue, Britney. It was at these gatherings where Britney could be found shining silverware and setting beautiful tablescapes alongside her mom.

Britney grew up in Dallas, Texas. After College, she arrived in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area on a one-way flight ready to make her mark. This fearlessness would be the spark to change everything!

She has always been a fierce advocate of creative expression. This matched with a natural can-do spirit have been keys to her success. Little did she know, these would come to be great qualities as she charted her own event career.

Like many, Britney arrived at events in an unconventional way. Although she spent much of her childhood sharpening her skills with mom’s help, a career in events still wasn’t clear. Thus, Britney spent over a decade gaining transferable skills in several industries. It was only then, that she began to realize the unifying force among these experiences was events. One catalytic experience along the way was a spring internship with a leading wedding expert in Washington, D.C. This experience opened her eyes and mind to the world of luxury weddings and reaffirmed her desire to hold stake in this industry.

From home shows, festivals, educational programming, county and corporate events, as well as themed parties and weddings; her passion for events was evident. Bringing people together and creating joyous opportunities to make lasting memories is one of many reasons why she loves events.

Bougainvillea Events was formed in June 2018.
